Gabriel comes home!

This is a very special weekend for the city of Philadelphia.

First, by some miracle, the Philadelphia Eagles are one game away from going to the Super Bowl. Being a Philly girl, I can tell you that this is something that is taken very seriously in this town, and the city is a blur of white and green.

Secondly, today, Philadelphia is welcoming President-elect Barack Obama on his whistle stop journey to Washington DC. Whether you are from a red State, or a blue State, you have to admit that this week will be monumental event in our Nations history.

Now for the third, and most important Philly event, today little Gabriel makes his journey from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to the lovely suburbs of Philadelphia, where he will meet his new family.

Gabriel has a number of firsts in store for him today; he is going to be on an airplane for the first time, he is going to meet his Mom for the first time, meet his numerous siblings for the first time, and get his first taste of a Pennsylvania winter.

With all of these first experiences going on, we thought it might be nice for Gabriel to get his official IAN welcome from two familiar faces. You see, Gabriel had two very special friends at Sele Enat orphanage, who made the journey to their forever home in Colorado last August. These three little boys have missed each other greatly over the months, and today they will finally have a cyber reunion. So, without further delay....here are Kedus and Nate with a special message...

It is 11:45am and they just got through customs. I still have 3 hours wait for them to arrive home from the Washington Dulice Airport.

I can't wait to show him this later tonight before he goes to bed!

I love you - here is a HUGE cyber hug from our family!

Jill and a bunch of blessings patiently waiting to meet their new brother and see Daddy!
